You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Energetics Manufacturing Department (M), Navy Weapons Division (M5) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV located in McAlester, Oklahoma. NT-03 is equal to the GS-09-10. NT-04 is equal to the GS-11-12. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Responsibilities You will serve as a the local Quality Assurance Specialist on quality assurance matters pertaining to manufacturing and maintenance of Ammunition and Explosives (A and E), Support and Test Equipment (S and TE). You will utilize quality control processes to identify unusual material nonconformities or defects in manufacturing or during maintenance and refurbishment or repair operations. You will conduct various measuring methods ranging from manual methods to using computer aided measurement devices. You will conduct analysis of applied corrosion preventative coatings and organic finishes. You will perform quality control beginning from material selection, first article inspections, through end item processing for demilitarization and disposal. You will provide support to operational elements regarding the resolution of complex special processes and testing problems. You will support a manufacturing organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent grade level) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing quality assurance methods and procedures of ordnance material or equipment in manufacturing or maintenance operations to ensure safe work practices for ordnance programs. FOR NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-02 (GS-05 through GS-08 equivalent grade level) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying techniques, to include quality control processes to evaluate ordnance material or equipment to determine adequacy of manufacturing methods and ensure safe operations.
