ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Ordnance Logistician) in the Industrial Support Division (M3),Transport & Magazine Branch (M35), within the Manufacturing Department (M) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-09 and GS-10. The FPL NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12. Responsibilities You will safely and reliably perform receipt, segregation, storage, issue, inspection, inventory, and maintain accounts for AAE and inert Non AAE shipments. You will utilize the Navy Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R), and Serena Foreign Ordnance Inventory System (SFOIS). You will evaluate and determine appropriate packing methods and materials for explosive Hazardous Material pursuant to global transportation via commercial or military; land, sea or air freight transportation. You will responsible for creating, preparing, and certifying shipping documentation, such as hazardous declarations, for the movement of explosive Hazardous Material on and off the base. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-02 (GS-05-GS-08 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with creating, preparing, and certifying shipping documentation for the movement of explosive Hazardous Material. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field directly related to the position being filled. OR Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree that is directly related to the position being filled.
