ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Administrative duties include data entry of the environmental samples collected (will be trained on collection process)

- high attention to detail when documenting, characterizing materials and reporting meter/emission readings and documenting storm water inspections.

- submitting POs with high attention to detail

To plan, schedule and perform a wide variety of procedures, processes, data collection efforts or experiments to validate and/or test processes.

To collect data and to develop, manipulate, maintain and report on a variety of information.

Utilize research to prepare technical documents and reports to various licensing and permitting authorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

4-5 years of administration experience (ideally within related industry: environmental, hazardous materials, waste, radiology or scientific)bonus if this person has experience in Technical, Environmental or Computer analysis work (but will train on the technical and scientific information as needed) A minimum of one year of college level Mathematics, Physical or Biological Sciences(Chemistry, Physics or Health Sciences) if substituting experience for education is preferred.college degree preferredAbility to read, understand and apply regulationsDemonstrated advanced ability to create, manage and use data in a variety of computer software systems : utilizing Gensuite and Microsoft office suite Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skillsDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely mannerParticipate as an effective team member and contribute significantly to group projects.Ability to apply a wide variety of technical procedures under general direction and to complete work independently.

Preferred:

Considerable knowledge of and familiarity with basic computer and/or environmental theory, techniques and principlesDemonstrated knowledge of terminology and concepts in at least one of the following areas: Health Physics, Radiology, Hazardous Materials and Waste (passion or interest is preferred, but will train on information pertaining to this role)Exposure to and/or working knowledge of government regulations, reporting and documentation requirements, preferably in the environmental area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
