OBJECTIVE:
The role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. The infrastructures they administer consist of various Desktops, Servers, Storage, Networks, VoIP Systems, and Virtual technologies. They are also responsible for day-to-day maintenance. It is expected that they manage, prioritize, and lead projects. The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for Systems Administration, Network Administration, Infrastructure Security, and Unified Communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains and monitors critical business servers and the applications that reside on them Maintain user security and email accounts for the business and gaming networks Manages the properties enterprise backup solution to provide daily backups and file restorations Maintains the network switched infrastructure Troubleshoots and corrects issues related to network connectivity in a timely manner Installs, configures and troubleshoots network computer software and hardware Adjust hours as needed to support the property’s operational requirements Shares the on-call rotation responsibilities with the other members of the Infrastructure Team to provide 24X7 support Provides support for network connectivity, firewalls, Virtual Private Networks(VPN), remote access, supported switching and routing technology, disaster recovery, network and resource security, system servers Responsible for the creation of documentation and keeping them up to date Responsible for knowing the day to day tasks performed by the Network Technician and other team members in the Infrastructure group Create and implement project plans Research and evaluate new technologies that will help the property to efficiently accomplish its business objectives Responsible for the safety, security, and accessibility of data and applications that reside on the business and supported networks Ensures that communication is facilitated between various groups within IT and also to departments and groups outside of IT Other duties and tasks as assignedNOTE: This description incorporates the most typical duties performed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Computer certification to include at least, but not limited to, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; other certifications (CCNA, CNE, Network+,Security+, etc.) desirable Good oral and written communication skills are required Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulatory requirements Ability to create and write reports (i.e. benchmarks, statistics, etc.), business correspondence, procedure manuals and project plans Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, the user community, fellow staff, vendors and the general publicREQUIRED EDUCATION:
1. Computer related and/or project related certifications are preferred
2. Bachelors Degree in an IT related discipline is preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Two years Systems Administration experience in a moderate sized, Windows multi-server environment, IBM mid-range system environment, or Linux multi-server environment Must have full knowledge of networked computer hardware, servers, and connectivity devices (layer 3 switches, routers, etc) Must have full knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers and preferable Linux, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft SQL server Must have knowledge of data cabling specifications, including patch panels and wall and cable terminations for both copper and fiber optic cabling Must have complete working knowledge of TCP/IP networks
