We have an opportunity to join Ascension Indiana as the Administrator of Ascension St. Vincent Brain & Spine Hospital & Neurosciences.
The new, four-story brain and spine hospital will be located on the north side of the Ascension St. Vincent campus on West 86th Street in Indianapolis. It will include eight operating rooms, 36 intensive-care-unit beds, and a dedicated step-down unit to care for patients who have recovered sufficiently to leave intensive care, but still need more care than a general hospital ward would provide.

ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:
Oversee the operational effectiveness of the Brain and Spine specialty hospital as well as all neuroscience programs on the Indianapolis Hospital campus. The vision for the Brain and Spine Hospital is to become a destination Center of Excellence for all complex neurosurgical and spine care. This position will work collaboratively with hospital and service line leadership as well as aligned physician partners to achieve the attainment of organizational and Steering Committee objectives to include: development and implementation of operating policies and processes, excellence in patient experience, quality outcomes, efficiency, growth of services, financial outcomes, positive associate culture, shared governance, and strong physician relationships.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, evaluating, and executing hospital and service line strategic plans, aligning with organizational goals. Collaborates to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery across the continuum. Works collaboratively with all members of hospital organization, which include surgical/procedural services, Program medical directors, program managers, co-management partners, as well as accreditation and clinical quality.Develops and implements programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of care provided by the organization; and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to services and healthcare. Initiate and implement process improvement strategies relating to workflow and efficiency, quality care, and patient safety. Collaborates with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the clinical programs and departments Create and maintain a positive work environment, culture, and practices that attract and retain high quality associates and providers and motivates caregivers to contribute at their highest levels. Represent facility and organization on system-wide initiatives and strategic programming and policy development for sustained growth.Negotiate and/or oversee regulatory compliance and contract management consistent with accreditation standards and business strategic plan. Manage relationships, both internally and externally, supporting facility and organizational goals. Represent the organization in the community. Oversee and create facility budgets and adapt tactics and resources within the budget to meet facility targets.Performs administrative duties and services related to quality, safety, education, and policy & procedure development. Support and assist with the direction and coordination of medical staff activities including relationship management aspects, recruitment and retention. Work closely with the Medical Staff for assigned areas of responsibility.If also serving as top nursing leader, perform the following responsibilities: collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments; develop and implement programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization; and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare.#Le@der
