Position Description: Administrator on Duty - RN
The Administrator on Duty is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations by acting as a liaison with all departments. In collaboration with the nursing teams, the AOD is integral in balancing staffing on a shift by shift basis, reallocating resources as census and acuity demand and facilitates patient placement. Is a resource for problem solving and keeps Directors, Managers, and Administrators informed as appropriate to the circumstances.
Assists in the delivery of patient care in crisis situationsCoordinates or assists in coordinating the transfer of patients to other facilities and ensures all requirements are documented per policy prior to patient transferFacilitates and monitors admissions, discharges and transfers in a proactive and timely mannerMaintains record required for contract staff and Nursing Float team members, documents staffing variances and actions and completes electronic records related to staffing.
