Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admissions, Events, and Outreach Coordinator for Graduate College - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Management:
Serve as project manager for event planning by:
Working with the Graduate College’s marketing and communication team to create promotional materials.
Securing dates, locations, and catering.
Coordinating participation of leadership.
Developing invitation lists and managing distribution (print and online).
Creating and managing event budgets.
Working with vendors, ordering supplies, and securing audio-visual support and photographers.
Organizing décor, recruiting volunteers, and designing event programs.
Preparing registration lists.
Oversee event execution.
Prepare pre and post event analysis, assessing opportunities and making recommendations for continuous improvement. Implement enhancements based on feedback and analysis to ensure events meet the highest standards of excellence.
Recruitment and Admissions Support:
Work closely with the Graduate College’s marketing team to prepare advertising materials and promotional campaigns, including catalogs, websites, and printed materials.
Advise prospective and current students on program offerings, application processes, and general inquiries.
Provide cross-functional support to the admissions department, utilizing systems such as Banner, OnBase, CAS and admissions platforms.
Complete application review, troubleshooting, and processing during peak periods.
Outreach and Engagement:
In collaboration with the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management:
Identify local, regional, national, events, recruitment fairs, and growth opportunities for prospective student engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with academic departments, Florida Atlantic offices, companies, and external organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.
Represent the Graduate College at education and professional career fairs, as well as other sponsored events.
Conduct group presentations for prospective students of varying sizes, ensuring engaging and informative experiences.
Collaborate with community partners and alumni networks to extend the reach of graduate recruitment efforts.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned, supporting the overall goals of the Graduate College.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Experience in recruitment and retention, admissions, event planning with project management and operations required.
