Admissions Coordinator
Description Lehigh County Center for Recovery, a co-ed inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located in Bethlehem, PA, has an immediate opening for an Admissions Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this multi-faceted position requires someone with a unique blend of skills and experience. Responsibilities Include : •Responding to intake calls •Admissions screening and assessments •Entering information into electronic contact management system •Consulting with Program Director and other Clinical and Medical Staff as needed •Creating admission documents and providing requisite information •Verifying health insurance benefits and doing pre-certifications, concurrent, and discharge reviews with insurance companies •Negotiating financial agreements and payment plans •On call rotation for after-hours intake coverage Job Requirements Preferred Qualifications:•1 year Prior admissions experience preferred •Minimum of a HS diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree Preferred •A strong understanding of substance abuse and dual-diagnosis issues and treatment •Demonstrated ability provide thorough, high quality customer service •Experience working with insurance companies a plus •Experience with sales and contact management systems a plus •Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team •Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks •Ability to work well under pressure EOE DRUG FREE WORKPLACE Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
