The responsibilities of an Admissions Coordinator RN at BayCare Alliant include:

Will work closely with the Admissions Liaisons to coordinate admissions to the Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital and serves as a link between the organization and clients. Will possess the skills to make quick clinical decisions based on Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital criteria to ensure good turn-around time on acceptance or non-acceptance of referrals. Will manage and delegate patient referrals, verify patients' insurance eligibility, benefits, and hospital days, and works with insurance companies to expeditiously obtain authorization and convert patient referrals to admissions. Will participate in the Appeals process to overcome insurance denials. Will register and admit patients and complete patient check-in, conduct tours and write patient assessments as needed, analyze marketplace trends, and prepare reports as requested. Must remain current on regulatory issues and understand insurance approval process.

Education:

Required Associates Degree - NursingPreferred Bachelors Degree - Nursing

 

Certifications and Licensures:

Required RN (Registered Nurse) License – Florida

 

Experience:

Required 3 years RN – Acute CarePreferred 2 years - AdmissionsPreferred 2 years - Admin Support Preferred 2 years – Marketing
