This individual will assist the Director and Assistant Director of Outreach & Admissions in the development and implementation of a college-wide recruitment plan encompassing both on- and off-campus events. This is a Support Staff union position as stated in the Support Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement- Grade 9 Specific Duties and Responsibilities + Assist with the development, coordination, and implementation of both on and off campus recruitment activities and events + Represent Rowan College at Burlington County at business, industry, community, and high school events + Provide individualized attention to prospective students, visitors, and callers to the Office of Outreach and Admissions + Respond to prospective student inquires and keep set appointments to meet with prospective students + Perform on-site information sessions at various locations in and around the Burlington County area + Develop and maintain school/guidance counselor relationships + Provide information and assistance to prospective students regarding college policies, procedures, academic programs, and non-credit programs + Perform all other duties as assigned. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience Required: REQUIRED: + Two to three years of professional experience in an educational setting. + Experience working directly with diverse populations PREFERRED: + Knowledge of Student Services functions including student recruiting + Outside sales experience + Proficiency in a foreign language Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements: + Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills + Technologically proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and other database management software + Motivated individual who is results-driven, innovative, and open to new ideas and projects + Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision + Ability to prioritize projects and tasks + Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends Additional Information INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
