This is a full-time position within the Admissions department. **Responsibilities:** + **Recruitment:** Recruit and counsel prospective students on the admissions policies and procedures for admission to Metropolitan State University on campus and at numerous community locations. Provide intake services to newly admitted students and students in the admissions process, and for students being readmitted, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the university's mission, academic programs, and procedures for all students. + **Territory Management:** Manage an established territory of partner community colleges, universities, and local businesses and organizations where prospective students matriculating to Metro State can be served. + **Community Outreach:** Responsible for developing annual outreach plan that includes goals and assessment. Conduct community outreach to local organizations, connections, and stakeholders to build and develop relationships and create enhanced awareness of Metro State’s strengths with the goal of generating prospects, applicants, and enrolled students. + **Data and assessment:** Responsible for tracking student results for assigned territory including yield rates and return on investment for recruitment events and partnerships and the impact of external influences (such as economy, workforce needs, competition in the marketplace). + **Campus Collaboration:** Develop, plan and manage admissions programs in partnership with other departments, including, but not limited to, the Dean of Students Office, the Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship, the Office of Equal Employment and Diversity, and the Alumni Office that will serve to recruit, admit and retain students of a targeted group as assigned. + Other duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position: + Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience OR two years of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience. + Experience in college admissions, student services, recruiting, academic advising, sales, marketing, and/or related experience working with post-traditional students in an urban environment with diverse populations. + Excellent public speaking, demonstrated ability to write concisely and accurately, and documented organizational skills and experience. + Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional nights and weekends. + Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Twin Cities. **Preferred Qualification** + Experience with cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships + Demonstrated experience serving students, community members, partners, and organizations from marginalized communities (Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color). Bilingual in English and Spanish, Somali or Hmong a plus **_._** + Experience analyzing data and using results to inform/create strategy. + Experience working with post-traditional learners. + Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic multi-campus organization within a team-oriented environment. + Must be articulate and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. The ability to work as a team member to achieve departmental goals and objectives is essential. **Other Requirements** **Physical Requirements of the Job:** Requires occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties **Notice** : In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check. **Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)** Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
