Pay Rate: $23.96 per hour + H&W 
Work Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00pm MT or 11:00am to 8:00pm MT
Type: Full-time, temporary 3 month contract
Location: Centerville, UT (in-office)

Position Summary:
Reports to the Director, Workforce Partnerships. Performs a wide variety of administrative and outreach functions to potential students of the job corps program.

Administrative Functions:

Identify prioritize applicants who may fit criteria for expedited enrollment. Work with job corps program applicants and or parents/legal guardians to ensure necessary documents are provided. Collaborate with center admissions representatives to assist with center tours, assist youth with the navigation of the MyJobCorps platform, or in person assistance for applicant barriers such as lack of technology and language barriers. Manage high volume of student interactions by phone or virtual platforms. Meet and exceed monthly objectives to maintain a high volume of student applicants. Work with schools, agencies, and medical facilities to gather records, including academic transcripts, chronic care forms, and immunization records. Conduct remote interviews upon determination of eligibility and background check clearance. Collaborate with center staff on applicant arrival dates and necessary travel accommodations. Track status of all pending and submitted applications; follow up on any barriers or roadblocks to facilitate applicant enrollment. Document applicant communication and work with other staff to track application progress. Assist with facilitating approved applicant response to center staff prior to beginning the program. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance, behavior management, and leave policies. Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring applicants where necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.  Demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment. Ensure day-to-day activities promote sustainability and reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing waste and maximizing recycling; saving energy; and minimizing water usage.

Prospect Contact Functions:

Effectively respond to prospective student inquiries within 24 hours. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding program offerings and articulate the benefits of the program to prospective students. Contact prospective students referred through the Job Corps national recruitment system. Work with applicants to determine initial eligibility for the program; identify and prioritize any applicants who may fit criteria for expedited enrollment. Provide program and center information to applicants, including zero tolerance, behavior management, leave policies, etc. and answer applicant questions for the purpose of facilitating their enrollment. Provide guidance and assist applicants with the initial phase of the application and provide guidance for next steps in program enrollment. Document applicant communication and work with other staff to track application progress. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance, behavior management, and leave policies. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Associate’s degree or higher in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field, or one year related experience.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.  Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
