As an Admissions Intake Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective students who are interested in following their dream of an education. In this position you'll be wearing multiple hats—receptionist, scheduler, front desk associate, telemarketer—all of which revolve around speaking to prospective students over the phone and gently but persuasively encouraging them to schedule appointments to with an admissions counselor, in order to take the next step in the admissions process. Our students come from all walks of life and often have full-time jobs and families to take care of. As the first point of contact between them and NYSCAS, it will be your job to make a warm, inviting impression while providing that extra push to take the next step when needed. A clear speaking voice, good energy, and strong organizational skills are essential. Each day, you'll be responsible for answering a high volume of inbound phone calls, which originate from our ads and other digital marketing sources. You'll also be emailing and texting with prospective students on an as-needed basis. All communications will be recorded and selectively reviewed as a team on a weekly basis to ensure that we are serving our prospective students as best we can. Before receiving an interview, you'll be asked to provide an audio or video file, about 30 seconds in length, in which you introduce yourself and share why you’re a good fit for this position. We look forward to receiving your application! This is a limited term position with renewal each year.
