Are you living your life's work? Summary: + Serve as the primary liaison between the Princeton House centralized admissions team and the local outpatient office. This includes accurate and timely communication between the central and local teams regarding schedules, paperwork, and status changes. This position also serves as a primary point of contact for new patients in the sign-in, financial counseling and registration process. Responsibilities: + Admissions Paperwork Organize initial paperwork for patient evaluations including clinical and financial printouts from the SQL database and documents from referring organizations.Evaluation Schedule Maintain the local site evaluation schedules for psychiatrists and therapists. Update changes to the evaluation schedules in a timely fashion to ensure that the central admissions office has accurate information on openings. Communicate filled evaluation appointments with the appropriate local staff.Patient Sign-In and Registration Meet with new patients to assist them with completion of registration paperwork. Review and clarify benefit coverage and financial responsibility with new patients. Create activate pre-registrions/pending evaluation visits in the Affinity System.Financial Counseling Meet with patients seeking information about their benefit structure and provide feedback on covered services, deductibles and copayment schedules. Ensure all benefit and UM information is obtained from SQL prior to sign-in in order to provide patient with accurate information. Make initial determination whether patient meets criteria for fee reduction or an alternative payment plan agreement. Complete fee reduction paperwork with patients seeking this option. Communicate all financial counseling activity with the office coordinator and clinical teams to ensure that financial and clinical activities are coordinated.Information Systems Update the SQL database completed evaluations, admission status, and case assignments to psychiatrists and therapists.Performance Improvement Support caring customer service goals by interacting professionally and respectfully with patients, families, and staff in performance of daily duties. Support performance improvement plan of department (e.g., promoting positive relationships to enhance patient satisfaction, ensuring patient safety by alertness to environmental or clinical situations which could result in untoward events).Other Duties Perform all other duties as assigned including cross-coverage of other support team tasks including, but not limited to, benefit verification, charge posting, filing, registration, and front desk coverage. Education or Equivalent Experience: + H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) + High school diploma.Previous experience in support of medical services with a preference for experience with behavioral health patients.
