The Admissions Manager, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business manages all activities related to the admissions of our Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program and is responsible for monitoring and managing admissions inboxes and phone calls. The Admissions Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of admissions for the MSBA program including overseeing systems related to the application process, reading applications, credential evaluation and decision processing for all applications. This position is also responsible for monitoring and managing the Executive MBA inbox as well as answering admissions phones calls and rerouting as necessary. The Admissions Manager will also coordinate with the staff at Risepoint to ensure that all prospects who submit an application are efficiently passed through the admissions process, will be responsible to update the tracking reports admissions status, work on special projects as per the Associate Dean‘s request and support the Executive MBA program recruitment and admissions. The Admissions Manager will also assist with Marketo, the marketing automation platform, for various marketing-related activities. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the first review of all applications and process applications, ensuring accurate processing of all applicant files.
Check that all documents have been received with oversight of GPA calculations, verification of degree conferral, and verification of official documents and test scores, ensuring that all files are distributed to the Admissions Committee for review, and managing the processing of all admissions decisions.
Schedule admissions interviews with appropriate staff and faculty members, managing and monitoring the EMBA admissions inbox.
Deliver decisions in timely fashion to applicants, respond to follow-up inquiries to enhance yield, and refer inquiries to other campus offices as appropriate.
Assist with the utilization of Marketo, answering admissions phone line and helping prospective students with their questions, rerouting as necessary.
Assist with the coordination of recruitment events including assistance with scheduling these events, catering orders, setting up, and managing RSVPs.
Follow up and engage with Graduate & Executive Degree Programs prospects in telephone dialogues and via email.
Help in managing admissions database to track all applicants and the current status of each application.
Assist in generating data for student profiles for each incoming class, compiling weekly and monthly admissions statistics.
Participate in orientations, residencies, and graduations, supporting a smooth transition for enrolling students and serving as liaison with Student Financial Services, Student Accounts, and MSBA Program Manager.
Work Interactions
The Admissions Manager reports directly to the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, and works under the guidance of other senior leadership, including the Associate Dean. This position interacts with the Academic Director of MSBA, the Program Manager of MSBA, the Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions team as well as with prospective and enrolling students by helping them with their queries and providing information in a timely and professional manner. The position also interacts with our external partner to ensure the efficient flow of recruitment and admissions information and to guide them through questions related to systems, admissions process and applicant inquiries. For Marketo, this position works closely with the Associate Director who leads Marketo operations. The Admissions Manager will also coordinate with various Georgetown University offices, such as the Office of Financial Aid, Student Accounts and the Veterans Affairs office.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Familiarity with MS Word and Excel
Must be comfortable with large institution IT environment
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal abilities and a poised, professional demeanor are essential
Ability to exercise good judgment in maintaining confidential data
Critical ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute
Critical eye for detail and a team player
Confidence to take initiative, ask questions and make recommendations with the end goal of process improvement and customer satisfaction
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications
Knowledge of admissions information systems/databases is preferred
Experience in higher education/admissions environment is highly desirable
Experience with Salesforce and Marketo are highly desirable

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$41,926.00 - $65,090.00Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
