Avera is seeking an Admissions Specialist II

 

Job Summary

The Admissions Specialist II is responsible for registering patients in a timely and accurate manner while performing all necessary procedures to establish accounts and medical record numbers. The Admissions Specialist II verifies insurance coverage and limitations. They collect patient co-payments, deductibles and out of pocket expenses utilizing the deposit matrix/patient estimator and communicates this to the patient. The Admissions Specialist II completes insurance verifications, pre-certification and/or authorization for assigned accounts.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to two years related experience in billing, insurance or registration preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.

Work Schedule

Hours: 6am-5pm range

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$17.50 - $22.00 per hour
