Adolescent Outreach Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Director of Adolescent Treatment, the Adolescent Outreach Coordinator shall provide Adolescent treatment coordination, including providing education on adolescent services to clients and staff, creating resource documents for adolescent services, and developing outreach framework. The Adolescent Outreach Coordinator will be an integral member of a care team that includes the program director, addictions counselors, and case managers. They shall also act in accordance with the policies determined by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable federal, state and local regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Provide information, education, and resources for clients, referral sources, and stakeholders regarding Adolescent Treatment services. + Create a map of existing resources of adolescent substance use treatment availability in Kansas. + Create a framework for the statewide outreach program including strategies and evaluation methods. + Implement adolescent outreach programs throughout the state. + Provide evaluation reports on the effectiveness of the program. + Implement any necessary changes to the adolescent outreach based on evaluation reports. + Attend staff meetings as scheduled. + Perform other job responsibilities as assigned Qualifications + High school graduate or equivalent. + Ability to navigate EHR + Although not mandatory persons that are bilingual (English & Spanish) will be given strong consideration. + Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Capable of maintaining a team spirit and the ability to work cooperatively with others. + Must be adaptable to change and have effective organizational skills. + Must be able to organize and follow through on multiple tasks. + Display consistent, good judgment and decision-making skills. + Ability to establish and maintain rapport with target population. + Must be able to pass background/security check. + Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission. + Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word. Outlook and with a basic understanding of Excel preferred. + Position may also involve bending, walking stairs, and lifting up to-40 pounds on occasion.
