All team members receive benefits including: + Weekly pay + Employee assistance program + Training and development opportunities + Employee discounts + Flexible work schedules Eligible team members may also receive: health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation days and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, and tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement. **Responsibilities** + Turn greyhounds out on a daily basis + Assist with screening adoption applicants + Clean and disinfect kennels and kennel areas regularly + Oversee the health of each greyhound including dispensing medications and bathing + Operate company vehicle when required + Monitor groups of dogs while in a play group to ensure the safety of pets **Qualifications** + No high school diploma or GED required + Experience working in an environment with large dogs of varied temperaments, preferably in a kennel setting + Able to determine when a dog may be in need of medical attention + Organized with the ability to maintain schedules, appointments, and competing priorities + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite + Operate company vehicle when required + Must have valid motor vehicle registration and pass drug screen **Physical Requirements** + Ability to lift a greyhound and materials weighing up to 80 pounds + Long-term standing, walking, bending, and reaching + Comfortable working indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions + Must have valid motor vehicle registration and pass drug screen **Shift Details** Holidays 8 hour shift **Who We Are** Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia, is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination featuring 1,300 electronic gaming machines, 22 table games, live greyhound racing, and simulcast wagering.
