Duties include supervising extra-help and community service workers, cleaning cabins, pavilions, bathhouses, and restrooms, inventorying and monitoring the condition of cabin contents, picking up trash, laundering cabin linens, and purchasing new items as needed. Off-season tasks include pressure washing, painting, and light facility maintenance. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some holidays. A criminal background check and a driving record check will be performed. Position Information Class Code: S104C Grade: GS04 FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT Salary Range: $32,405.00 - $51,686.00 Summary The Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism (ADPT) Housekeeper Supervisor is responsible for the overall appearance and sanitation of public use areas in the park. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Provides daily supervision for skilled and unskilled employees by assigning and reviewing work. Completes a variety of cleaning tasks as needed. Inspects park facilities to determine maintenance needs, sanitary conditions, and overall appearance. Checks housekeeping work performed by staff and examines for missing items or maintenance needs. Conducts inventory of equipment, linens, supplies and materials to maintain current demands and determine future needs. Researches and recommends specifications for custodial supplies, linens, and cleaning equipment. Completes and maintains records on inventory, work schedules, lost and found, and maintenance issues. Prepares reports for superiors as needed. Participates in interviews, maintains performance files, and completes performance evaluations. Greets visitors, provides assistance to the public and other staff. Assists customers with special needs. Collaborates with all park operational units to ensure prompt service delivery for park guests. Performs other duties as assigned.
