Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Adult Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure adherence to infection control practices, make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention, collect urine specimens for drug screening, and orient new patients to treatment programs. You will identify potential customers and provide them with information about our programs, complete required paperwork in a timely manner, and maintain customer confidentiality. Additionally, you will provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers, emphasizing self-empowerment for participants to independently access needed services.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to infection control practices.Make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention.Collect urine specimens for drug screening.Orient new patients to treatment programs.Identify potential customers and provide them with information about our programs.Complete required paperwork, including customer records, in a timely fashion.Maintain customer confidentiality.Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers.Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings.Engage with community providers as it relates to program content areas.Provide presentations about programs to various agencies and other referring agencies on a monthly basis.Essential SkillsMasters degree in social work or related field with a license (LCSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC).Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use.Proficient in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes.Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills.Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.Knowledge of Human Services, Court systems, substance use, and target populations.Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford.Additional Skills & QualificationsBi-lingual (Spanish) is a nice-to-have.Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use and/or mental illness, domestic violence, or any other applicable training related to the field of work.Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some late hours potentially on Tuesdays. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
