MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta and Waterville, Maine is seeking a board certified or board eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our dynamic behavioral health team of 7 psychiatrists and 7 advanced practice practitioners. This position will provide for adult inpatient behavioral health, ECT, and med surge inpatient consultation services as needed.
Inpatient care is provided in our 30-bed, adult dual diagnosis inpatient unit -- a spacious state-of-the-art facility, providing every one of our patients with a private room and bathroom, an array of treatment groups and access to an exercise room.
We are offering a full time position of five, eight-hour days per week, with one night of call per week from home, and eight on-call weekends per year. For each weekend rotation, enjoy Friday and Monday off, as we recognize the need for work/life balance.
Close relationships with the University of New England College of Medicine and the Tufts University School of Medicine offer clinical assistant professorships, help prepare third and fourth year medical students to join the next generation of physicians.
