The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated Journeyman Advanced Software Developer to support the mission objectives and needs of the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. The position is contingent upon award of contract.
Responsibilities:
Develops, creates, maintains, and writes/codes new (or modifies existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs. Develops, modifies, enhances, and sustains new or existing computer applications, software, or utility programs following software assurance best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
Engineer responsible for all aspects (performance, cost, schedule) and all phases (design and development) of the ship’s technology.
Works closely with the naval program and other naval activities to perform the necessary tasks and submit deliverables.
Provides technical engineering knowledge, expertise and recommendations.
Leads all appropriate program briefings when required.
Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
Manages a team of software developers in support of ITMSS software capabilities including the development and maintenance of key ITMSS algorithms to allow the ITMSS software to operate on crew tablets.
Tests ITMSS features to ensure they meet Navy requirements.
Supports translating Navy needs into software requirements for ITMSS. Supports development of inputs for the ITMSS software (i.e. exercises, Watchstander comms).
Develops content for training courses to be integrated into ITMSS.
Supports development and distribution of weekly reports. Report findings and recommendations to the Government.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must hold, or be able to obtain, a Secret clearance.
BA/BS and 10+ years relevant experience in software development or related field
Experience leading a team in in software development and computer-based training.
Certificates:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR
Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
Desired:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Integrated Training and Maintenance Support Suite (ITMSS) software development experience
Experience with digital twinning solutions and shipboard training & modeling and simulation (M&S).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
