Advanced Application Engineer for Hand\nHeld Products, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA)

RESPONSIBILITES:         
Provide Senior Tier 3 technical support with a focus on high quality, accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. Support is often provided to partners and customers who are in technical positions such as software development, database administration, system administration, network administration, and various IT functions.
Analyze and clarify customer queries through troubleshooting, researching, and recreating of issues.
Capable of handling all Tier 2 and Tier 3 requests.
Frequently determines root cause and develops solutions at a code level.
Frequently work directly with engineering to investigate/reproduce complex issues together.
Develop and test small software fixes and features to meet customer requirements.
High success rate of relentlessly troubleshooting the most challenging uncommon and rare problems.

YOU MUST HAVE:            
Qualified candidates will\npossess a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology,\nComputer Science, Network Engineering, Software Development, Telecommunication\nNetworks, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field, and 5\nyears of experience in a technical role. In the alternative, employer will\naccept a Master’s degree in the above-listed fields and 2 years of experience\nin a technical role. Full term of experience must include: hands-on experience\nin object-oriented programming, including Java and/or Python; experience\ntroubleshooting software application issues at a code level, by stepping\nthrough the application logic for programs mostly written with Java, Python,\nC#, proprietary Vocollect TaskBuilder, and transact SQL stored procedures;\nunderstanding of Internet application technologies including HTML, XML, and\nInternet application architectures based upon Java technology; developing and\ntesting small software fixes and features to meet customer requirements; providing\nbasic level development assistance to voice solution developers; knowledge of\nrelational database management systems (Microsoft SQL and Oracle) and\nstructured query language (SQL); knowledge of both client and server operating\nsystems (Windows & Linux); and experience with cloud solutions.\nApproximately 15% domestic travel required for onsite troubleshooting.\nTelecommuting permitted up to 2 times per week.Additional InformationJOB ID: req467889Category: Customer ExperienceLocation: 2555 Smallman St, 2nd Fl,Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania,15222,United StatesNonexempt
