Advanced Hardware Engineer

 As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you\nwill be a key contributor to the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions\nwithin the Integrated Flight Deck Systems (IFS) group. You will play a critical\nrole in guiding and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery\nof high-quality and reliable products for the aerospace industry. Your\nexpertise in hardware design and test, collaboration with cross-functional\nteams, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of\ntechnology and aviation solutions.

In this role, you will have an impact by guiding and\ndriving the hardware development process, defining hardware requirements, and testing\navionics hardware in a variety of environments for integrated flight deck\nsolutions. Your work will contribute to the seamless integration of hardware\ncomponents, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our\nproducts.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hardware testing and validation\nto ensure product performance and reliabilityWork with cross-functional teams to\ndefine hardware requirements and specificationsIdentify and propose technical\nimprovements by applying advanced electronic design principlesGuide and drive the hardware design\nprocess, from concept to productionProvide technical guidance to junior\nengineersStay updated with the latest industry\ntrends and technologiesParticipate in project planning for new\nproduct developmentU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics5+ years of experience in hardware design\nand developmentExperience with hardware testing and\nvalidationStrong knowledge of hardware design\nethics and methodologiesProficiency in schematic captureWE VALUEBachelor's degree in Electrical\nEngineering or a related fieldExperience with Environmental and EMI\nQualification Testing (DO160, MIL-810F…)Proven track record of successful\nhardware design projectsAbility to guide and mentor junior\nengineersStrong insight of industry standards and\nbest practicesExperience with high-speed digital and\nanalog circuit debuggingKnowledge of FPGA-based designs and\nstandards (DO-254)Excellent problem-solving and thoughtful skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilities
