This role will be an integral part in the business priorities both internally and with strategic partnership with MRO shops. In this role you will be expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships between GE partners, Airline customers, Engineering, Services Operations Teams, and Customer and Product Support teams.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
As the GE90 CTP SPPE, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and communication of technical programs and business metrics, including, but not limited to:
Provide technical expertise to support the MRO shop, including activities such as customer issue resolution, troubleshooting, service bulletin implementation, fleet configuration, investigation work scopes and collection of part condition assessments and leading indicators.Define engine work scopes meeting the Maintenance Planning Guide and customer repair specification objectives. Review customer’s requirements and recommend engine work scope to maximize/Optimize engine Time on Wing life.Partner with Customer Program Managers (CPM’s) and RSPs to define and execute the maintenance strategy for assigned customer contracts.Participate/Lead in pre-induction and gate reviews for CSA customers to assure all technical work scope options are being considered and optimized.Support Shop leading indicator programs for the assigned shop.Shop investigation support and closure with customers.Contractual profitability via cost control program implementation, work scope escalation trending, DR application and leadership on escalation mitigation projects.Engine Turnaround in the shop program implementation in partnership with the shop by understanding the gate process and identifying /executing the projectsCoordinate with Maintenance Cost Review Board (MCRB) to understand and influence SV cost and improve CSA productivity.Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.Effectively communicate with the customer program manager (CPM) to assure quality technical consultation in support of CSA/T&M contractsCoordinate with GE and partner shops to organize technical forums - identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization, lead reviews and participate as a reviewer.Leverages daily management and problem solving to drive business deliverables. Applies Lean learnings to daily work and seeks additional opportunities to build reps along their Lean journey (i.e. Actively participates in problem solving, leads with standard work, values going to Gemba, etc.)Travel globally as required.Drive change by demonstrating clear thinking, articulate roles & responsibilities, manage hand-offs between different organizations.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behaviour with a proactive example of communication internally and externally.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeExtensive experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering positionPrevious MRO Shop or airline shop experience.Previous experience working within GE RSP relationships.Familiar with GE Aviation long term service agreements, customer / product support role functions.Experience in engine troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
