As an Electrical Tip Sensor Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. Typical assigned projects for a Tip Sensor Instrumentation Design Engineer include clearance probe, light probes, and variable reluctance probes.Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned projects.Develop action plans with guidance to respond to significant issues or developments.Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives.Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer EngineeringAt least 3 additional years of experience in Engineering positionDesired Characteristics:Relevant experience or interest in multiple electrical/ computer engineering disciplines like signal processing, data acquisition, circuit design (analog and digital), microprocessors, radio-frequency (RF) design/ analysis, embedded electrical systems, and/or engine clearances.An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.Demonstrated leadership in advancing technology in an electrical engineering specialty.Experience using the engineering design process and experience conducting reviews with the Chief Engineer’s Office.Experience using electronic circuit design and modeling tools including Ansys, Cadence, and/or Allegro for electrical simulation.Lab experience using design-of-test and troubleshooting tools such as network analyzers, impedance analyzers, and signal analyzers.Familiarity with a programming languages including C/C++ and Python.Familiarity with using the Linux operating system.Experience working with component suppliers and manufacturers.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to influence others and lead small teams.At least 5 additional years of experience in an electrical or computer engineering position.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
