Advanced Maintenance Technician: 3rd Shift

Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all production, facilities and maintenance equipment. Responsible for maintaining work records and data entry into the computerized work order system. Investigates, troubleshoots and follows up on machine problems and may contact outside vendors to assist. Responsible for ordering special parts for machine breakdowns and kaizens.
Responsibilities:
Repairs, modifies or assembles all DMNC manufacturing and facility equipment. Completes orders from the work order system. Inputs data into the maintenance computer. Orders special parts. Uses all maintenance area equipment. Follows TIE and TPM concepts. Designs simple jigs and machinery. Translates blueprints and other design paperwork into products. Troubleshoots problems and responds to Corrective Action Reports. Works with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems. Additionally, will work with PLC and servo drives. Responsible for training and mentoring Maintenance Associates. Completes reports as required. Ensures work areas meet 5S standards. Responsible for following the APQP process and ensuring that all quality requirements are defined on the Process Control Plan. Has the authority to notify all appropriate personnel when changes are required to ensure the revisions are made within all quality instructions. Complies with all IATF-16949 requirements. Performs other duties as necessary. Will be required to work some overtime. May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process. Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances. Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem-solving process. Communicates and practices DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required:
Associate’s degree or high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience. Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Skilled trade experience or trade school training. Knowledge of mechanical processes, welding, blueprints, electrical and pneumatics. PLC experience is required.Benefits Summary:
