Delivering the best customer experience is our shared goal!DescriptionDescriptionSupports manufacturing research and development to solve complex problems that have a direct impact on the final product cost, quality, and delivery of Apple products. Under broad goals and objectives, exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in suggesting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to complex problems. Provides assistance to set up standard practices and independently resolves impact to design approaches and parameters to the final product. Applies extensive expertise in all facets of mechanical product design. Provides advice, guidance, and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory technicians. Supports a variety of projects and participates in the project planning of major sub-projects. Keeps abreast of all relevant technical trends and developments and incorporates them in appropriate assignments. Supports software solutions used to scale, secure and shape the automated assembly and test systems used to manufacture Apple products. Collaborate closely with cross-functional Apple teams, vendors, and contract manufacturers to define factory systems requirements, architecture, and design. Maintain and improve existing visualization and statistical analysis programs that provide intelligent business insights. Performs assignments in several of the following manufacturing engineering functions: Design for Manufacturability - Provides early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufactured. Product Engineering - Supports all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life. Provides production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures, and failure analysis. Process Engineering - Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBSME or equivalent (MSME, MSIE desired), majors in Mechanical / Electrical /Computer science engineering5+ years of experience in an Engineering or Engineering Lead roleNew product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired.Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design required.Understand and build product/automation machine / manual alignment fixtures tolerance stack-ups (GD&T principles) according to 3D files (@ both assembly & part level).Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English.Key QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsCandidate must have the ability to communicate optimally in a worldwide environment.
