Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum

The Role

We are seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Manufacturing System Design organization. This role is pivotal in defining production processes, executing prototype builds, setting First Time Quality (FTQ) targets and quality plans, optimizing designs, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting validation test units.

As a key leader, you will work closely with various teams within the Robotics Engineering organization to drive innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing systems.

What You’ll Do:

Define Production Process: Develop and implement efficient production processes to ensure high-quality manufacturing.

Execute Prototype Builds: Oversee the execution of prototype builds to validate design and process efficiency.

Set FTQ Targets and Quality Plans: Establish First Time Quality (FTQ) targets and develop comprehensive quality plans to meet production standards.

Design Optimization: Continuously optimize designs to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Ensure Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Support Validation Test Units: Provide support for validation test units to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Chief Robotics Technologist to align technological roadmaps with business goals.

Work with the Advanced Development team to integrate new technologies and methodologies into manufacturing processes.

Coordinate with the Product Development team to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability.

Partner with the Software Development team to integrate software solutions into manufacturing systems.

Oversee the deployment and execution of automation projects with the Deployment and Execution team.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or a related field, or relevant experience.

10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in defining production processes and executing prototype builds.

Strong knowledge of FTQ targets, quality planning, and design optimization.

Excellent understanding of safety compliance standards.

Experience supporting validation test units.

Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong project management and leadership skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience with robotics and automation systems.

Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
