Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will define the future of Wind Manufacturing by:

Driving early-stage technology development with high disruption potential and mature these technologies from initial concept to successful product introduction.

Building and cultivating a broad network of stakeholders, partners, and subject matter experts across government agencies, national labs, strategic partners, and academic institutions.

Shaping funding agency priorities and synthesizing insights into actions that improve proposal quality, win rate, and GE Vernova- Wind Manufacturing MGTP/MGPP impact.

Communicating these cross-organizational and cross-business technology strategies to Senior VP and CEO level executives across GE as well as to C-suite level stakeholders at external businesses, government agencies, and universities.

Create and support culture of technical excellence, teamwork, and respect/trust.

Leverage internal and external network to create innovative new breakthroughs and opportunities that drive strategic growth.

Exemplify and champion the GE Purpose and GE Leadership Behaviors – Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency, and Deliver with Focus.

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree in engineering, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams or large projects in Wind technologies.

Demonstrated domain knowledge in the areas of composite materials, structural and/or mechanical systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of wind turbine systems (Towers, blades, drivetrain, etc.)

Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary research teams, and reporting out to Senior VP and CEO leadership levels.

Experience working with Government Agencies and/or National Labs

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

Must be 18 years or older.

The base pay range for this position is $150,900 - $251,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will be posted until at least 9/19/24.
