RESPOSIBILITIES:

Work in a\n global team as an Individual contributor with significant responsibilities\n and ownership of mechanical design. The responsibilities include\n mechanical packaging design and development, simulation, building proto, verification\n and sometime characterization testing.Be able to\n perform mechanical design function on new product development teams\n defining customer requirements, develop and select best concepts, designs,\n and implementation into production of new sensor solutions.Additional\n responsibilities include technical report generation, documentation and\n progress reporting. It is also expected that the candidate would develop\n technical expertise in the selected product line, develop proposals for\n growth ideas and work for improving the product line. He/She needs to have\n proven record of design delivery in a New Product Introduction (NPI) team\n for at least 3 yrs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Mechanical\n packaging Design with different parts and sub-assembly to form a product\n by meeting customer requirements.Have strong\n understanding on different manufacturing processes like plastic injection\n molding, metal parts machining, casting, sheet metal process, joining\n methodologies (crimping, welding, brazing, soldering) and encapsulation\n methodologiesGood knowledge\n about materials such as engineering plastics, metals, plating.Expertise in 3D\n modeling and parametric detailing, family tables. Expertise in using CAD\n package CREOExposure to Six\n Sigma methodology and statistical analysis. Experience on GD&T,\n Statistical Tolerance Analysis, Design for Manufacturability and AssemblyExposure to\n handling engineering change request and engineering change order.\n Experience in Oracle/SAP/ERP tool will be added advantageProblem solving\n Skills: Independently lead problem analysis to develop new processes and\n procedures.Works with all\n the stakeholders to ensure that technical objectives are met. Active\n participation in the project planning/execution phases for technical risk\n management
