Mission:
Lead and\ncoordinate engineering teams in preparing mechanical lay outs, equipment\ndistribution, performs equipment selection, defines\nand mentor on bill of materials and product models configurations, also performing materials ordering\nfollowing project plans and schedules on medium and high complexity projects, working\nclosely with Supervisors.
Performs mechanical design activities under the supervision of mechanical engineering lead in all types of projects sizes and\ncomplexities, efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract\nspecifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Also leads on-site\ncommissioning ensuring equipment’s distribution within the building as well as appropriate flow of the process.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Technical
contribution Coordinates mechanical engineering drawings in collaboration with engineering specialists using CAD system. Review lay\n outs integrating several levels for material handling flow and supports BOM\n definition accordingly, by meeting manufacturing & customer pre-approved\n schedules. Provides training and support during site commissioning ensuring\n equipment’s distribution and performance. Supports and lead continuous\n improvement of project process/product/ system design via provision of\n lessons learned feedback.
2. Planning and control
Delivers in house\n assignments as per the agreed timeline and set quality standards for 2D/3D\n CAD work. Follows work plans and cost estimates for work within project\n budgets, troubleshooting and support activities.
3. Processes and tools
Ensures accurate application and implementation of standard design practices and tools in preparing accurate drawings and 3D modeling. Uses standard processes and procedures to ensure all layout and equipment\n selection activities comply with projects specifications to satisfy\n contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and\n suggests improvements ideas.
4. Risk and opportunity
Lead and Train in conducting risk and opportunity assessments during site commissioning phase and in handling technical risks by following mitigation\n guidelines during equipment’s distribution phases.
5. Customer
Interacts with internal customer on scheduled project reviews as well as with external customers and support them on\nrequests.
6. Industrial Experience
More than 8+ years of industrial experience.
