Are you ready to help us make the\nfuture?

The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing and\nDesign Engineering organization designs and manufactures specialized Coil Wound\nHeat Exchangers and other natural gas liquefaction equipment. The equipment is\ndesigned by our engineering teams and fabricated at our manufacturing facility\nin Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international 3rd party\nfacilities. Our customers use this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas,\nmassively improving its transportability as an energy source to end users\naround the world.

As a Mechanical Design\nEngineer within the LNG Manufacturing & Design Engineering organization, this role is accountable for all aspects of LNG heat exchanger and pressure\nvessel design including safety, performance, manufacturability, code\ncompliance, structural support, maintainability, transportation, and\nintegration into the customer’s natural gas liquefaction facility.

As a design\nengineer located at the LNG Coil Wound Heat Exchanger manufacturing facility in\nFlorida, the successful candidate will serve as a primary technical liaison\nbetween the Design and Manufacturing teams within the LNG business. The\ncandidate will also be responsible for planning and executing field inspections\nand repairs on LNG pressure vessels already in operation at customer sites\naround the world.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Code and structural pressure vessel calculations per industry standards and customer requirements (e.g., ASME BPVC Section VIII, Div 1-2).Design for pressure vessel static and dynamic external loads including wind, seismic, transportation, and blast.Coordinate design of pressure vessel internal piping, external piping, and supporting structures (including modules and cold boxes) with other engineering disciplines.Generate procedures for inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of pressure vessels.Work with Designers to support development of vessel 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials.Support technical management of the Port Manatee supply chain via technical qualification and performance management of material and subassembly suppliers.Provide rapid support to the Port Manatee Manufacturing team, resolving technical issues, providing technical training, troubleshooting design challenges, and interfacing with other disciplines includes Quality Control, Project Management, Procurement, and Production.Serve as mechanical engineering lead on aftermarket field service teams, traveling to customer LNG facilities to perform inspections and repairs.Support new\n project bid development by writing the mechanical scope of supply for new\n contracts, addressing customer technical inquiries, and defining project\n technical risk mitigations.Generate and execute technical risk identification and mitigation\n plans for new projects, product offerings, and manufacturing methods.Update calculation templates, procedures, and guidelines to ensure\n Manufacturing team feedback is accurately captured and used to improve\n designs for safety and manufacturability.Participate in root\ncause analysis, data reviews, and Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive\nimprovements in manufacturing cost and schedule.Engage in occasional domestic and international travel to the Honeywell LNG HQ in Pennsylvania, customer engineering offices, and customer natural gas liquefaction facilities.

The successful candidate will need to quickly and effectively resolve technical challenges that arise both internally and with our 3rd party customers and suppliers. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as this person will continuously work hand-in-hand across the Honeywell LNG engineering organization and with the Manufacturing team based in Port Manatee.
