Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Experienced Advanced Practice Clinician for the Stroke Program in Summit, New Jersey Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to support the Comprehensive Stroke Program at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. The Neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery. The Neuroscience Advanced Practice Clinician is a member of the neuroscience care team. This includes direct attending oversight and education during the training/education period with the goal of independent review of clinical cases with attending support when needed. Primary responsibility of the advanced practice clinician would be the care and management of the cerebrovascular cases in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Expectations would be the ability to promote equity and excellence in neurological patient care, educational growth both personally and cross disciplines to become a leader in cerebrovascular care. The position would require care to be provided Monday through Friday with a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinic responsibility depending on shift assigned. There will be one weekend a month coverage for inpatient service. During time of weekend coverage, the Advanced Practice Clinician would still only need to cover five days total for that week.
