Position Summary:
Community Health Center is seeking a Family Practice Advanced Practice Nurse for the LGBTQ program in Asbury Park. This position will be responsible for providing primary care services to clients of the VNACJ Community Health Center/Ryan White, LGBTQ program.
ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Responsibilities:
Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workersProvides primary care services to clients and families within established guidelinesMonitors quality and appropriateness of services providedInitiates client teaching for individuals and families Prescribes medications as neededParticipates as part of the health care teamParticipates in community outreach to educate the community regarding CHC servicesAdheres to agency infection control and safety policies and guidelines of primary care regulatory agencies QualificationsJob Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in NJMaster’s degree in Nursing from an NLN accredited programMaintains current CPR and professional certificationsExcellent primary care skills and thorough knowledge of current practice trendsStrong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors. Exposure to blood, body fluids and communicable diseases. Sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing and walking. Client/customer contact.
