Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Clinician

As the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Clinician, you will be the mid-level provider at Amery Hospital & Clinic who is responsible for providing minor acute illness examinations including treatments, screenings, and vaccinations. This position’s overall performance supports the mission statement and commitment to patient-centered, timely, effective, efficient, and safe service. All AHC employees are responsible to participate in quality and process improvement activities. Every effort has been made to make this job description as complete as possible; however, it is emphasized that you may be required to perform other related duties and activities

 

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30a-5p, 4 days/week

 

Required Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal nurse practitioner program. Masters’ required for candidates graduating after 1992

Physician Assistant (PA)

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

NP

RN License, certified or eligible for certification through ANA national exam as ANP, FNP Approved or eligible for approval by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges CPR Certification

PA

National certification by NCCPA License or eligibility for approval to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Wisconsin

NP/PA

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key constituents and all levels of management and employees Ability to problem solve, think critically, assess and care for patients within the scope of service for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant   Uses tools within EPIC such as AVS, referral placement, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred
