Perform detailed history and physical examinationsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, radiographs, and clinical studies. Order/prescribe and titrate medications. Perform various diagnostic, therapeutic, and minor surgical procedures. Maintain continuity of care Collaborate with providers/consultants to coordinate clinical care. Document patient status, evaluation, and treatment planFacilitate patient transfer across levels of care, including writing discharge orders and communicating specific patient needs to team members. Provide education for patients, families, staff.Participation in quality assurance activities.Note: This is a 40-hour night position with rotation to days as needed. Includes weekends.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*Nurse Practitioner
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in the State of MichiganCurrent specialty certification to practice as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCertification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). Current DEA registration requiredAHA approved PALS certification or the ability to obtain prior to employmentTwo (2) years of recent clinical practice experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, cardiology, or pediatric intensive care unit settingPhysician Assistant
Satisfactory completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor agencies, CAHEA or CAAHEP.Certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan.State of Michigan Controlled Substance License Required Current DEA registration requiredAHA approved PALS certification or the ability to obtain prior to employmentTwo (2) years of recent clinical practice experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, cardiology, or pediatric intensive care unit settingNOTE:
