They order and interpret diagnostic tests. They treat chronic and acute health issues. **Requisition ID:** 40080BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + May review labs, medications, and health issues while completing a full examination. Health maintenance reminders. + Responsibilities may included reviewing charts, seeing patients and families at clinic visits, writing orders and notes with independent billing, and reviewing post-visit labs with follow-up while keeping a consistent plan of care. + Elicits records and interprets a complete health history including all Gastroenterology, past Medical Family and psycho-social aspects. + Performs a complete adult physical examination, assessment, distinguishes between normal and abnormal findings. + Orders Tests and procedures as necessary. Consults with the attending or resident physicians prior to initiation of major procedure or plan. Writes admissions, discharges and medical orders. + Formulates a care plan of care based on physical exam or other data and implements. Performs Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies| procedures and processes.
