Summary: Performs a variety of duties in the evaluation, treatment planning and treatment of patients, such as medical work-ups of inpatients and outpatients; Performs other medical/surgical services on patient divisions as may be requested. This position will primarily involve coverage of hospitalist, critical care, and the assessment & treatment center.

This position includes a base salary and geographic differential. The total combined salary range for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $117,760 - $142,688 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The total combined salary range for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $129,494 - $156,236 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. To qualify for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park is required. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Registered Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and
2. Certification as a Registered Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and
3. Certification or eligibility for Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or
2. Bachelor’s degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.

NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have critical care experience.
