Short Description
The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research.
The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary
health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Education Requirements
Master's - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
License/Certification Requirements
License (or Certification): American Heart Association BLS; NJ-Advanced Practice Nurse & Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant are required.
Special Requirements
Scheduled Days / Hours: Per diem - as needed.
