Job Summary
The Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider at Prevea is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) prepared to deliver health care services to patients, families and groups emphasizing the promotion of health and prevention of disease. Advanced Practice Providers in Urgent Care deliver prompt care for illnesses and injuries that need quick attention, but do not require a visit to the emergency room. The scope of responsibility includes autonomous clinical practice as well as coordinating with physicians and other health professionals.

1-3 years work experience in a healthcare setting PreferredSkills and Abilities
Knowledge of the information and techniques required to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases, including understanding symptoms, treatment options, drug properties and interactions, and preventive healthcare measures. Demonstrate organizational skills that allow timely patient appointments and appropriate required follow up. Presents a courteous and service oriented image through positive and helpful interaction with patients and families, physicians and co-workers. Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors Ability to form work/patient relationships with patients and peers. Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to handle and process confidential information. Fosters teamwork through effective written and verbal communication.Licenses and Certifications
Individual must posses either the licenses/certification details of a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant. Nurse Practitioner: Registered nurse in the state of Wisconsin with a certification through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Upon Hire Required Physician Assistant: Licensed through the state of Wisconsin as a Physician Assistant. Certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
