GCU’s College of Nursing and Healthcare Professions is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Advanced Practice RN Clinical Coordinator! This full-time faculty role involves providing dynamic leadership and support in placing students in the perfect clinical settings. The coordinator will play a key role in developing and nurturing relationships with clinical sites and preceptors. They will work closely with the office of field experience, program faculty, program leads, and program managers to ensure an abundance of top-notch clinical sites for achieving outstanding learning, clinical, and program outcomes. What you will do:

Assist college leadership with the evaluation of preceptors and site supervisors n coordination with Faculty Services

Assist NP faculty during On Campus Experiences

Attend college and departmental meetings

Act as a University contact to create and maintain partnerships and relationships with Hospital and community agencies to meet clinical placement needs in conjunction with the Office of Field Experience

Address preceptor concerns and student issues / escalations using chain of command and university policies and procedures.

6.Perform in person visits to clinical sites when needed for evaluation.  This may be at the direction or discretion of the program lead. Travel may be required outside of the Maricopa County area.

Ensure clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures are created and frequently reviewed

Positive communication and collaboration with program lead

Teaching load will vary and will depend on needs of the program

Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

Master’s degree in a Nurse Practitioner specialty (FNP, AGACNP, and/or PMHNP)

Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical setting  

Experience in working with health care systems

Active, current, unencumbered, unrestricted RN and APRN license

Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
