Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Advanced Programs Program Manager 2 leading a team responsible for a cooperative research and development agreement based out of Bellevue, Nebraska. This position could also be in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL at the NC3 Architecture Integration Laboratory hub.

What you’ll get to do:

Leads research and development on prototype demonstrations supporting the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) mission area

Works with multi-disciplinary team members from numerous NG locations

Provides project management related to funding, staffing, schedule, and technical direction oversight to the internal research and development

Coordinates with our government partners to ensure a mutually agreeable agile work plan

Leads presentations to government representatives regarding our NC3 prototypes

Guides modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts focused on the mission area of our government partner

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. 

Job Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) with 6 years of experience; or 4 years of experience with Master's degree in STEM.

At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.

2 years of experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems/processes

2 years of experience with providing thought leadership and building customer trust

1 year experience with leading research and development efforts

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) with 8 years of experience; or 6 years experience with a Master’s degree; or 4 year with PhD

Experience with other USAF strategic systems such as Sentinel, Minuteman III, B-2 or B-21 delivery systems

Experience with modeling and simulation programs such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM)

Experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python

Experience with model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler

Experience guiding Agile scrum teams

Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $224,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
