Job Title: Advanced Scientist-Functional coating Summary:• Mainly focus on UV curing and thermal curing based technology; • Closely communicate with marketing and commercial team for region business growth and contribution to new NPI projects ; • Closely work with global technology team and ADE team to optimize existing products and develop new products; • Engage in products performance evaluation; • Postively support MPM EHS regulation and activities. Responsibilities Include: + Independently implement Hardcoat products performance evaluation for new applications; + Independently implement existing formulation optimization and new projects development with guidance of supervisor; + Independently synthesize UV curable and thermoplastic acrylated copolymer and evaluate in lab; + Supervise plant materials qualification and extend; + Communicate with plant and support plant product manufacture and process optimization; + Summarize all lab experiments and record experimental data and observations in an organized laboratory notebook. + Contribute to MPM EHS regulation and Hardcoat lab 5S activities; Qualifications: The following are required for the role + M.S or Ph.D in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry/Engineering or wet chemistry; + Ph.D with 1 ~3 years’ experience in Chemical or paint Companies , M.S with 3-4 years’ experience. + Experience in coating/paint formulation development; + Demonstrate good understanding of polymer chemistry, especially in UV curing technology or thermal curing technology; + Good skill in trouble shooting; + Fluent in written/spoken English; + Excellent collaborate within team.
