**Job Title: Advanced Fabricator (Multi-pass tack & burn)** **Job is located in Newport News, VA paying $45 an hour and $120 per day in per diem** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Advanced Fabricator with a minimum of four years of industrial or commercial structural stick welding. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in single pass tack welding, burning, and heating with oxygen/propane torches, and the ability to understand complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches. **Responsibilities** + Perform Multi pass stick weld test + Utilize Oxygen/Propane Burning Torch for cutting and shaping materials. + Use Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch for material preparation. + Read and comprehend complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, datum, and reference lines. + Measure and comprehend fractional dimensions using a ruler. + Lay off piece parts for fabrication and assembly. + Assemble structural piece parts according to specifications with quality in mind. + Work in a physically demanding environment such as shipbuilding or steel fabrication. + Adhere to OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry. + Operate vibratory tools including grinders and needle guns. **Job is located in Newport News, VA paying $45 an hour and $120 per day in per diem** **Essential Skills** + Four years of industrial or commercial experience stick welding + Single Pass Tack Welding proficiency. + Experience with Oxygen/Propane Burning and Heating Torches. + Ability to comprehend and interpret complex structural drawings and blueprints. + Proficiency in measuring fractional dimensions. + Experience in laying off piece parts for fabrication and assembly. + Skill in assembling structural piece parts to specifications. + Familiarity with OSHA regulations in the shipbuilding industry. + Experience using vibratory tools such as grinders and needle guns. **Job is located in Newport News, VA paying $45 an hour and $120 per day in per diem** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
