Responsibilities:The Advanced Supply Chain Planner role will have responsibility for both tactical and strategic balancing of supply/demand/inventory for the Intermediate Chemistry (IC) Americas portfolio. This individual must collaborate effectively across all Intermediate Chemistry (IC) functional groups and the broader Acetyl Chain (AC) Core with a strong drive for results. The role will require quick but effective analysis of complex problems for recommendations in line with strategic business imperatives. A strong focus on communication and the free flow of information is important for success in this role. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with high level technical skills to gain exposure to the commercial functions of the AC business line.
Collaborate with IC Global Planner, Alternative Sourcing, Manufacturing team, Logistics, Logistics Procurement, IC RPM's, FP&A and other Celanese planners to optimize both tactical (daily) and strategic (long term) supply/demand balance for IC products in line with Acetyl Chain strategic business imperativesMaintain production and inventory plans based on inventory targets and strategic business imperativesProvide input for approval of Constrained Consensus Demand Forecast based upon known supply constraintsProvide and execute recommendations that consider cost, service levels and strategic business imperativesCollaborate with planners from IC Americas key customersWork with Network Optimization resources to determine inventory targets aligned with network capability and strategic business imperativesMaintain IC Americas SAP Material Master Data (tabs MRP1, MRP2, MRP3, MRP4)Maintain IC Americas SAP Allocation Tables (set up, turn on, turn off)Full back up for other IC Americas Planner Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required - Engineering or Business w/ Supply Chain focus preferred3+ years’ experience in planning or manufacturingHigh level analytical skillsSAP experience plus advanced MS Excel skillsStrong communication skills with ability to translate technical information to key stakeholders (Regional business leaders, Manufacturing leaders, Procurement, Logistics ops, Customer Service)Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a willingness to make decisionsKnowledge of root cause analysis methodologies desirable
