As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of flight management systems for commercial and defense aircraft. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Program Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the aviation industry by designing and implementing flight management systems that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to develop and test system requirements, perform system integration, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop flight management system requirements
+ Design and define flight management system architectures and interfaces
+ Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards
+ Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
+ Support the certification process for flight management systems
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
