Position Purpose/Summary

Fire V&V – Advanced Test Engineer

Key Areas of Responsibility

Technical & Functional

Gets involved in Requirement reviews to ensure completeness of Deployment scenarios, Use cases & Testability aspects of Functional & Non-Functional requirementsClosely works with Offering Team, understand the customer requirements and derive, Develop Acceptance Criteria to validate the product against acceptance criteria.Co-Work within scrum team plan the Testing activities, Estimate the efforts, Raise Product defects and conduct effective triage.Develops Test Case, Test Plan & Test strategy to validate the Functional, Non-Functional requirements for product
Develop Regression Test Strategy based on Impact Analysis of fixed defectsOwn the QA LAB Infrastructure & Maintain QA Test infrastructureIdentifies Test Automation & Simulation requirements early in the life cycle & supports in execution of the sameWorks with the project team to identify Beta Site requirements & supports in defect prioritization & release readiness reviews along with the Project LeadProvides debug support to Development Team to identify root causes of defectsMonitor release quality criteria and communicate unbiased product quality view to stakeholders to enable quality release of the product/systemDevelops and maintains QA Defect Report on daily basis and weekly report out

Business Acumen

Participates in Observation Voice of Customer (OVoC) and in Concept reviews in early phases of Product Development Life Cycle as neededStays up to date with happenings in the Industry & Competition space of the relevant business verticals and drives best practices in Mobile/Cloud/Big data testing.Has clear understanding of product roadmaps and release plans.

Technical Skills

Strong technical competency on Fire Alarm systems domainShould have in-depth hands-on experience in installing, commissioning & maintenance of fire alarm system – Preferred experience in Honeywell brand Fire PanelsKnowledge of Various Fire Detector working principle, and its applications is a mustExperience of usage of Fire Panel commissioning tools is mandatory Experience of testing and troubleshooting of Fire panel at site for proper functioning & Inspect is must Should have knowledge of PA/VA system and wireless technology.Work experience on Fire suppression systems like FM 200, Sprinkler, Foam, Deluge, etcHands on work experience on VESDA, Beam Detector, Flame Detectors, Line Detectors are added advantageKnowledge on third party software like BACnet gateway, MOD bus integration hands on is an added advantage.Hands on experience in Fire integrated with third party/sub system like Access, Intrusion, CCTV, BMS solutions is mandatoryHaving knowledge on any wireless products is added advantageCapable of understanding product software requirements and design test cases.Should be aware of applicable fire alarm standards like UL864/EN54/NFPA-72/SIL etc

Education / Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or MechanicalMinimum of 6-8 years of experience in project engineering/testing in relevant industry spaceAt least 4 years of experience in in leading the technical and delivery

Professional Skills / Knowledge
