In this role, you will:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIX-MME, SCI-N, SubLAN, ISNSProvide OJT instruction on TACNET operations, maintenance, and repair.Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management. Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.Install, troubleshoot, maintains and repair products/equipment. Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives. Lead and direct the work of others. QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
An Active TS/SCI ClearanceUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card).Ability to successfully pass a drug/background screening.A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience A Bachelor's Degree will be considered in lieu of A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience5 years of experience (Experience highly preferred in a technical trade or craft such as electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, to include: developing appropriate course material, hands on practical experience with techniques being taught, researching latest technical discipline practices, establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, and developing training programs.)Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.Experience in three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Network AdministrationSystem AdministrationTechnical DocumentationTrainingDemonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.Familiar in training TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems which should include defining training requirements, use of Navy Authoring tools (CPM/LOM, AIM, etc.) to develop training Navy training curriculum, and application of Instructional System Design (ISD) process.Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+). Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair TACNET systems as an individual and in team situations.Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.Ability to promptly respond to telephone and email requests for technical support.Ability to travel up to 10% as necessary.
