About the Department
 

Alumni Relations and Development (ARD) engages alumni (~220k), current students, parents and friends of the University through intellectual, professional and social activities on campus, around the world and online. ARD raises $600 Million annually to support faculty and researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs across the University. Our work supports priorities in every division, school, department, and institute.

The Analytics and Technology Solutions (ATS) team provides technology and system solutions to enable ARD to meet aggressive fundraising goals and measure, analyze and predict growth in constituency giving and participation. Using an enterprise approach to data and systems, ATS creates a data and user environment that is consistent yet agile. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand program strategies, ATS develops data, reporting, and analytics solutions that lead to actionable outcomes and actualized goals.


Job Summary
 

This position designs automated, scalable, and rapidly deployable solutions to infrastructure development and server configuration. Works independently to install, configure, and maintain operating systems. Uses best practices and systems knowledge to monitor and alert systems, utility software, and firewalls. Guides maintenance for production servers as well as Windows and Linux servers.

Responsibilities

Leads configuration and upgrades processes for a variety of advancement focused software products including Salesforce CRM, Experience Cloud, CRM Analytics, Kindsight ascend, Conga, Cvent, Marketo, and others.Manages and maintains access and permission sets for Salesforce CRM and associated software tools.Provides Tier II support and troubleshooting for user reported questions and system related issues.Configures, installs, upgrades, and maintains server applications and hardware. Works to safeguard the integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements to improve the reliability and performance of the system.Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions and with an eye towards broadly diversifying the advancement profession.Administers operating systems, maintains security, and implements backup procedures for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices.Tracks compliance and maintains documentation for hardware, software, and service inventories for management reports.Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

Major in computer science, statistics, business, or similar major.

Experience:

Minimum five years of professional work experience in application administration, software development, or technical support role.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

Familiarity with and understanding of higher education fundraising industry.Salesforce Administrator certification highly desired.Thorough understanding of key end to end advancement business processes with extensive knowledge of best practices in CRM.Translate business needs into technical specifications.

Working Conditions

This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in-office presence.Standard office environment.Travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.Work evenings and weekends as needed.This position is located in Hyde Park at 5235 South Harper Court.
